INTERBUS controller boards for Siemens SIMATIC S5 controllers
The controller board IBS S5 DCB-T can be used to link SIMATIC S5-115U to 155U, 130WB- and 150 S controllers to INTERBUS.
The controller boards are connected via the SIMATIC I/O bus and work in the controller like in-circuit input/output cards with variable address range.
The data of the INTERBUS I/O cards can be accessed directly by the periphery (L PW, T PW,..), or indirectly by the process image (U I, S Q, ..). This makes it possible to utilize the entire scope of language and diagnostic functions in the PLC.
The INTERBUS system can be activated automatically (when the voltage is switched on) or controlled (parameterized). In controlled mode, configuration data, such as the bus structure, assignment of inputs and outputs and diagnostics response are transmitted to the controller board.
