With the DMS Basic Add-on, production halls can be easily displayed so that you can see at a glance which machine is reporting which status. With device grouping and the option to upload your own images for the individual groups, entire production halls can be displayed in the Device Management Service. The devices in the group can be placed on the image and moved to the correct location using drag and drop. Grouping makes it possible to set up an overall health status of halls or locations.

Functions in detail
Free and easy monitoring of registered devices with health status
Thanks to the simple and easy-to-understand device overview in the free Device Management Service, all you need to do is log into Proficloud.io to immediately see which device needs your attention.
The color coding in the device overview of the Device Management Service makes it immediately clear which devices are working as expected, which need your attention, and which are offline. The protocols can then be used to determine why one of your devices has switched to an error state.
Always keep the device firmware up to date with the Smart Service – remotely and easily
Proficloud.io users can use the Device Management Service to immediately see if a new firmware update is available, and also start it directly from the Device Management Service.
Any Phoenix Contact device that can be natively registered on Proficloud.io offers the option of checking the installed firmware version in the detailed view of the device and installing a new firmware version if necessary – provided that the user is authorized to do so.
Continuous monitoring of the online status for secure data acquisition
The log entries are marked in accordance with criticality. This system also follows a traffic light.
Each device can be enriched with data, which makes it easy to get started using devices or, for example, information about responsibilities can be displayed.
The devices can be supplemented with static data, such as tags (e.g., “Production Hall 1”), comments (e.g., responsibilities), or locations (coordinates). This means that colleagues, partners, or customers can immediately understand which device it is.
If necessary, a log can be exported as a CSV file.
Interactive map with device health status
All devices that have been assigned a location are automatically displayed on the interactive map next to the device overview along with their health status.
This allows you to see exactly which devices are located where. The corresponding device can be called up by clicking the marker.
DMS Basic Add-on
Advanced device management Professionalize device management with the DMS Basic Add-on
The DMS Basic Add-on extends the functions of the free Device Management Service and enables better use of cloud-enabled hardware.
- Group devices and add your own floor plans
- Get notifications via email as soon as the device health changes
- Use remote application updates
DMS Basic Add-on in detail
The DMS Basic Add-on can be used to remotely transfer applications created with the PLCnext Engineer to an Axioline controller. Both the roles and the permissions on the device are taken into consideration to ensure that unauthorized persons cannot execute application updates.
With the DMS Basic Add-on, alerts can be set up and device status changes can be sent to various recipients via email. This creates transparency beyond the limits of Proficloud.io. The alerts can be set up individually for people.
Alerts are also created individually. For example, an alert can be triggered by a device changing status, losing connectivity, or entering a critical health status. Notifications are sent to defined persons or groups of people, which ultimately increases the availability of systems.
