M8 connectors and device connectors are particularly suitable for use in field applications. The male connectors are available in assembled versions.

Your advantages

  • Future-proof: standardized connectors and cables in accordance with IEC 63171-2 (IP20), IEC 63171-5 (IP67), and IEC 63171-7
  • Cross-application: range of up to 1,000 m, data rates of up to 1 Gbps, and power of up to 50 W and more
  • Efficiently cabled: plug-and-play, even in existing cabling infrastructures
  • Compact: high packing density on the PCB and thus smaller device designs due to miniaturized connectors
  • Easily integrated: male and female versions for established inductive sensors and flying leads

Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) is one of the megatrends in industrial data transmission. The purpose of SPE is not to define new higher transmission speeds or distances; but rather to form the framework for standardizing reduced amounts of cabling for applications.

Single Pair Ethernet in detail

SPE in the All Electric Society

Consistent device communication from the sensor to the cloud. Single Pair Ethernet is aimed at the intelligent networking of sensors to ensure modern communication with reduced cabling effort. In this podcast, product specialist Verena Neuhaus explains the unique advantages and opportunities of SPE in terms of an electrified and sustainable future. Listen in.

Exploring new paths with SPE

A modern communication infrastructure with Single Pair Ethernet – whether circular connectors or IP20 connectors: our broad portfolio of data connectors is used for communication and for networking in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Our product specialist, Verena Neuhaus, will be providing information on the new products and highlights, such as the SPE-M12 hybrid connectors and the potentials that these open up. Find out more.

Detailed analysis of ONEPAIR series SPE connectors

Learn more about the benefits of device connectors, field connectors, and cables for industrial Ethernet connections in this training video. This includes, for example, reduced cabling effort by downsizing to just one wire pair. Moreover, standardized interfaces enable secure data transmission in accordance with IEEE standards.

Ethernet finally goes the distance

IP20 and IP67 connectors for Single Pair Ethernet achieve transmission speeds of up to 1 Gbps and distances of up to 1,000 m. The video provides a concise overview of these features and other benefits.

M12 hybrid connectors for Single Pair Ethernet at a glance

Rethink your power connection for Single Pair Ethernet: The compact data element has maximized power transmission with just two contacts for SPE, creating entirely new possibilities. In the past, larger connectors or two connectors for data and power were required to achieve this. With this new development, you are now provided more flexibility in a smaller installation space and higher-performance power transmission.

For compact devices with high power transmission

M12 hybrid connectors for SPE are particularly suitable for actuator applications and allow for higher voltages and larger cross-sections combined with compact dimensions. Product specialist Verena Neuhaus explains these benefits and others in an interview.
