The IB IL 400 SAFE 2 safety terminal in conjunction with the IB IL 24 SAFE 1 safety terminal is designed for use within an Inline station. The terminal acts as a contact expansion for IB IL 24 SAFE 1 and switches off the 400 V three-phase power supply of the downstream power-level terminals used for switching asynchronous motors. The wiring is such that the terminal can be used in direct connection with the IB IL 24 SAFE 1 in applications in all safety categories, including category 4.
