The outdoor housings have UL certification and reliably protect your electronics against dust, dirt, and water up to the IP67/IP69 degrees of protection. They are designed for the temperature range from -40°C to +100°C. The plastic polycarbonate PC has the UL 94-V0 protection class. The 109 and 169 versions are DNV approved.

The ECS-EX series version provides a safe protective shell for your electronics even in potentially explosive environments. With ATEX/IEC EX certification for the housings, your device approval is made easier.

More about Ex protection
Device connections and cable connectors for the ECS housing

With the proven device connection technology with reliable sealing, you can easily implement tailored interfaces for signals, data, and power. This turns a robust housing into a versatile electronics solution. Create your tailored solutions from device connectors (e.g., M12), photovoltaic connectors, RJ45 connectors, and connectors from the PRC and IPD series.

ECS housing pressure equalization diaphragm

An optional pressure equalization membrane ensures a sufficient level of air exchange, thus increasing the service life of the housing-internal electronics.

Sealing on the ECS outdoor housing

The housing parts can be sealed quickly and securely, therefore providing protection against unauthorized access.

Technical principles of electronics housings Solutions for DIN rail applications

Electronics housings are an elementary part of a device. They determine its appearance and protect the electronics from external influences. In addition, they enable assembly in superordinate units. Device manufacturers must therefore pay attention to many details, and not only in the design, but also in the choice of housing when it comes to materials and quality testing. This brochure provides you with all the details.
