Flexible and energy-efficient control of three-phase asynchronous motors: The CONTACTRON Speed Starter range is a state-of-the-art category of devices that bridges the gap between conventional soft starters and frequency converters. Its goal is to make variable speeds and smooth motor operations as easy and safe to use as possible, without the effort, complexity, or configuration work associated with a converter.

We provide a variety of stand-alone devices up to 7.5 kW. With a pluggable IO-Link module, the speed starter can be integrated into a network environment, configured, controlled, and monitored. This is particularly easy with preprogrammed function blocks.

This compact solution features all the functions necessary for simple operation with various speeds, from normal speed, creeping speed, and soft start all the way to energy efficiency and ramp functions. The Safe Torque Off (STO) function ensures a safe stop.

Electronic load relays and reversing load relays provide fast switching of DC motors. Reversing load relays reverse and brake DC motors up to 24 V/10 A without wear. Benefit from easy wiring with the integrated locking circuit and load wiring.
