The proven QUICKON IDC displacement connection enables cables to be connected without stripping and without special tools. QPD installation connectors and distribution boards

Power distribution plays a decisive role in industrial systems and building installation. An easy, robust, and flexible installation system is therefore an advantage. With the QPD system, we provide a fast, safe power connection up to 690 V and 40 A. Plugs, conductor connectors, and distributors can be connected on-site without special tools. The IDC connection technology enables cables of up to 5 x 6.0 mm² to be connected directly without stripping. QPD is highly robust and meets degree of protection IP68 and IP69K. This means it can be used under extreme conditions.

Secure connection in just a few steps Assembly with QUICKON IDC displacement connection

Step 1: Strip the cable and prepare the PE conductor.

Step 2: Insert the wires into the QUICKON nut and snap into the marked wire guides (1, 2, 3, ...).

Step 3: Cut the litz wire ends off flush.

Step 4: Place the union nut on the contact carrier and tighten it until the stop, or use the specified torque for tightening.

You will feel the connection snap into place when the optimum tightening point is reached. The QUICKON nut is now screwed on so tight that it cannot be unscrewed again by hand.

IDC connection technology

Displacement connection IDC (insulation displacement connection)

For insulation displacement technology, the cable is connected without stripping. The wire guides center the conductors automatically. When the union nut is tightened, the insulation displacement termination pierces the cable insulation and establishes a gas-tight electrical contact.

QPD STAK/STAS 3 connectors for connecting motors

Installation situations that are difficult to reach require reliable connectors that can be connected quickly and conveniently. The QPD STAK/STAS 3 and STAS 3 connectors designed for assembly are specifically intended for the motor connection of blinds, window coverings, and awnings. The IDC connection enables installation in no time – without stripping or screwing. The connector housings are permanently protected against splash water and dust, UV resistant, and resistant to cold and heat.
