The digital output complies with IEC 61131-2 Type 3. It can be configured via the web server or the Modbus communication interface.

The digital output can functionally map an S0 signal with function “Impulse”, but as only one standard – in this case the IEC 61131-2 – can be complied with, it does not conform to DIN EN 62053-31.

With the “Impulse” function, the following electrical parameters can be transmitted to a higher-level evaluation unit:

  • Active energy (positive, negative)
  • Reactive energy (positive, negative)
  • Apparent energy

Other configuration parameters are:

Valency

The impulse corresponds to the set value.

The valid value range is 0.01 … 655.35 in kWh.

Impulse duration

The valid value range is 30 … 900 in ms.

To ensure a measuring accuracy of at least ± 1/10th of the class of the devices, at least the specified number of pulses must be detected:
For accuracy class 0.2 > 5000 pulses

For accuracy class 0.5 > 2000 pulses

For accuracy class 1 > 1000 pulses

The accuracy class of the individual article can be found in the technical data.
