Data Exchange and Integration with other Applications

cxE uses standardized interfaces and XML models for data import and export.

With EPLAN Electric P8/Pro Panel, data exchange is facilitated by a separate add-on, which must be installed with the ECAD application and allows for data exchange.

Most functions for data exchange can be found on the INTERFACES tab.

In additional, various helpful engineering assistants and configurators provided by Phoenix Contact have been integrated in cxE, so you can quickly call and use these tools as needed within your engineering process, or use them as a planning foundation:

Functional Engineering assistants
Configurators/selection assistants for specific types of articles (PTFIX, CAPAROC...)
Device parameterization

The tools can be called directly from the start page (if you want to use them independent of a cxE project). Those needed in the planning process are also available directly in the Engineering view.
