PxC to Customer Item Mapping

cxE supports the use and storage of customer-specific item numbers. This allows you to map your own item numbers to PxC item numbers and use them consistently throughout the engineering process.

The mappings between the original PxC item numbers and the customer-specific item numbers are managed on the Options  >  Customer item number list page in the backstage area. You can either enter a customer-specific item number directly for each available PxC item in the item number table (see below) or create the mapping list in Microsoft Excel and import it into cxE.

A maximum of five mapping lists can be maintained in parallel. Each mapping list can be assigned to a different project template on the Options  >  Project settings page, enabling the use of different customer numbering schemes for different customers or projects.
