No, it is strongly recommended that all outputs are connected to the load or supply rail. This is the only way to guarantee redundancy up to the load. In the event of a cable break on the output side, the load can therefore continue to be supplied.

Is there a signal if there is a cable break on the output side or if a cable is not connected?

Yes, if 2.1 or 2.3 are not connected, the "Red OK" relay (3.1 - 3.2) opens and the two red LEDs on the bar graph start to flash.
