Find out more about the “Partnership of Experts” collaboration. The companies talked about the collaboration at a press conference at the Hanover Fair 2012.
Initial results of the collaboration
At the Hanover Fair 2012, Phoenix Contact presents the initial results of its collaboration with Eaton. The year prior to that, at the Hanover Fair 2011, both companies signed a cooperation agreement regarding collaboration on CONTACTRON and SmartWire-DT™ technologies. Phoenix Contact now presents new CONTACTRON switching devices with a SmartWire-DT™ connection.
As the result of their collaboration, Wöhner and Phoenix Contact present a short-circuit-proof hybrid motor starter that can also be used on 60 mm busbars.
Partnership of Experts
In November 2011, Wöhner was secured as an additional partner. Under the name “Partnership of Experts”, the companies seek to supply technology jointly which is in line with the increasing demands of machine building and system manufacturing. Through integration in “Wöhner CrossLink Technology”, Wöhner can use these hybrid motor starters via appropriate adapters both in 60 mm busbar system technology and on DIN rails.
Together with partners Eaton and Wöhner, Phoenix Contact will introduce the three technologies of SmartWire-DT™, CONTACTRON, and CrossLink to the market and further develop and expand its product range.
Cooperation agreement with Eaton
Phoenix Contact and Eaton signed a cooperation agreement at the Hanover Fair 2011 which sets out provisions regarding the development and marketing of industrial, electronic switching devices and communication systems.
The aim of this collaboration is to develop and implement a joint strategy for CONTACTRON electronic motor starters as well to establish SmartWire-DT™ as the new standard for the communication connection of intelligent switching devices.
