FLASHTRAB SEC T1+T2 combines consistently pluggable, type 1 lightning arresters without line follow current and powerful, complete type 2 surge protective devices for the energy feed-in.

The result is a protective device that is optimally coordinated and can be easily planned and installed.

This protective device is therefore ideal for environments with frequent switching operations. The type 1 lightning arrester safely handles the high energy levels of lightning currents. The type 2 surge protection reliably limits dynamic surge voltages.

The protective device can be used without backup fuse up to a main fuse nominal current of 315 A.

Usage range of the FLASHTRAB SEC T1+T2

FLASHTRAB SEC T1+T2 meets the highest requirements of Lightning Protection Level I according to international standard IEC 62305-1.

This means that your devices are safely protected against lightning strikes of up to 200,000 A.

Due to the high rated voltage of 350 V AC, the arresters can be used worldwide, even with an unstable power supply with high mains voltage fluctuations.

The voltage protection level of the arrester combination is always below 1.5 kV.

Consistently pluggable arresters

A major advantage of FLASHTRAB SEC T1+T2: all arresters are consistently pluggable, including the N-PE spark gap.

  • To perform insulation measurements, simply remove the plugs. There is no need for complicated disconnection and connection.
  • In the event of the unexpected overload of individual protective plugs, e.g., due to extremely powerful lightning strikes, you can replace the affected plugs quickly and inexpensively.
  • Recurring tests for surge protective devices can be performed quickly and easily using the CHECKMASTER 2 test device.

Arrester can be rotated 180°

FLASHTRAB SEC T1+T2 has a symmetrical design. The base elements and plugs can be rotated 180°.

What this means for you:

  • Installation is extremely easy.
  • The connections are always on the correct side, regardless of whether the supply lines are led from above or below.
  • Cable lengths are kept to a minimum.
  • The large marking area is always legible.

The two terminal points per channel enable V-shaped through wiring.

Signaling directly on the plug

The operating state of all modes of protection of FLASHTRAB SEC T1+T2 is monitored.

In the event of an error, the L-N plugs are thermally disconnected. Clear signaling takes place directly on the module, without using any power.

A floating PDT contact is also monitored at the same time. Easy-maintenance remote signaling can therefore be implemented.

What this means for you is that the arresters indicate their state at the location that suits you best.
