Reduce the number of analog signals required with the MINI Analog multiplexer

The MINI Analog multiplexer can be used to significantly reduce the number of analog inputs at the PLC.

The multiplexer, which is available from our range of accessories, generates one 4 … 20 mA output signal from up to eight analog input signals and transmits it serially via a cable.

If you do not need to convert or isolate any signals, you can also use MINI Analog feed-through terminal blocks.

Easy configuration via DIP switches

Select the number of analog channels via DIP switches.

Depending on the number of signals, you can choose between 2, 4, 6 or 8-channel operation by means of easy DIP switch configuration. The channels are switched over in one or two-second cycles. The channel currently switched is detected via three digital outputs using a bit pattern.

Reduce analog inputs for temperature measurement

A wide range of temperatures are measured in wind power plants. As a general rule, at least six measuring points are monitored. The MINI Analog multiplexer reduces these signals to just one signal and thereby also reduces the number of analog inputs at the central acquisition point.

At the same time, cabling is greatly reduced as the signals are isolated, converted, and amplified directly on site. For example, only one cable needs to be led from the generator for up to eight 4 ... 20 mA current signals.
