CDMA modem delivers SMS alerts

Phoenix Contact’s Nanoline controller with expansion module enables cost-effective text messaging

For remote locations requiring simple control capabilities, Phoenix Contact’s new CDMA modem provides easy control capability with text communication via the Short Message Service (SMS) protocol.

The ideal control solution

This capability makes Nanoline the ideal solution for remote pumping stations, remote tank monitoring sites, or any location that requires local control, with Verizon network coverage.

Acting as an RTU

Nanoline can now act as a remote-terminal unit (RTU) with the added ability to solve logic. The CDMA modem’s phone book can store up to 16 phone numbers, configured to send program messages and fault warnings.

In case of emergency

The system’s “last breath” feature gives you peace-of-mind by sending an emergency message in the event of total power loss. This capability allows you to put safeguards in effect to help avoid devastating loss, improve personnel safety, and prevent costly downtime.
