CB Pluggable device circuit breakers and QUINT power supplies: SFB technology for a responsive and flexible distributed DC network.

Designing a reliable control system demands a stable DC power distribution network. Using the patented Selective Fuse Breaking (SFB) technology of the QUINT power supply and the CB Pluggable device circuit breakers results in increased system availability.

Selective and responsive

The SFB trip-curve matches the output current pulse provided by the QUINT SFB power supply. The SFB technology ensures the responsive disconnect of loads in a fault condition, isolating and protecting the rest of the DC power network to keep your system up and running.

Use an individual CB Pluggable device circuit breaker with SFB trip-curve on each load for fault isolation. If a load experiences a fault condition, the QUINT SFB power supply will instantly detect the fault and output a series of current pulses at six-times the nominal rating of the power supply. The affected CB Pluggable device circuit breaker is selectively tripped, which allows the power supply to maintain a stable source of power to the rest of the loads.

Pairing the SFB technology of the QUINT power supply and CB Pluggable device circuit breakers is a unique combination for improving overall system availability — even for remotely connected loads such as flow meters, PLCs, sensors, solenoid valves and other control devices.  QUINT power supplies and CB Pluggable device circuit breakers - a responsive and selective partnership.

Flexibility is power

The CB Pluggable series of device circuit breakers empowers you with choices. Choose between multiple thermal-magnetic trip curves for AC or DC circuit protection.  To protect sensitive 24 V DC electronic loads like a flow meter or a PLC, use the electronic CB plug and gain the option to either remotely power cycle a connected load or reset a tripped breaker.

Individual base elements allow for multi-pole configurations. Additionally, the thermal-magnetic plugs can be used in the CBB power distribution board for up to 60 individual DC loads, saving wiring time and DIN rail space.  Whichever you choose, there is power in flexibility.
