CenterPoint station tour

Tuesday, June 6, 2017, from 1-3 p.m.

Visit the first multi-feeder sampled values installation in the U.S. - three feeders will be protected by a single relay. The non-tripping scheme is being operated in parallel with a traditional hard-wired protection system. The IEC 61850 pilot has responded to multiple fault events since installation in April of 2016, providing opportunities for performance comparison.

PPE Requirements: If you wish to tour the station, you must wear hard sole shoes. No rubber soles will be permitted. CenterPoint Energy will provide hard hats and safety glasses on site.
