Phoenix Contact’s high speed connection solutions for the Emerson ROC800 Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) reduce the wiring time between the ROC800 I/O card and breakout modules to mere seconds.  This allows the assembly and wiring of a control panel to be accomplished in a tiny fraction of the time.  This allows you to build your project quickly and accurately, and move onto the next project right away.  

Each system cabling solution consists of a three-piece solution.  The solution begins with a pluggable adapter, which is used in place of the screw terminals at the I/O card and eliminates the need for the tiresome and error-prone task of discrete wiring.  In addition to this adapter, an interface module is also utilized.  Interface modules take the place of traditional terminal blocks, and with the ribbon connector, eliminates all control-side individual wire termination between the ROC800 and the module.  You can choose interface modules with a passive feed-through connection, or you can choose modules with functional components directly on the module, such as fuses, relays, and jumpers that allow for field- or board-powered configurability on a per-channel basis.  

The last component necessary is a 10-position ribbon cable.  Phoenix Contact offers high-quality ribbon cables with a robust plastic overmolded connector in a variety of standard lengths, with the ability to provide specific lengths to suit any customer’s application.
