Motor winding temperature monitoring

To monitor the temperature of motor windings, temperature-dependent resistors are often built-in. These PTC resistors become highly resistant as temperatures increase and thereby act as sensors. They detect a temperature rise at the motor and activate the relay to process the message further.

Application examples

Temperature monitoring for motors

Temperature monitoring for motors

  • Motor winding temperature monitoring for conveyor belt drives
  • Protection of motors against thermal and mechanical overload due to things like insufficient cooling, high-inertia starting or undersizing
