Four Managed Switches with extended ring redundancy  

The extended ring redundancy of the 3000 and 4000 switches ensures low switch-over times in the event of failures

The 3000 and 4000 series of Managed Switches ensure a failsafe network. In the event of failures, they enable switch-over times of just 15 ms with several hundred switches in the ring, thanks to extended ring redundancy. Up to three rings can be coupled for maximum fault tolerance. Dual redundant rings are also possible.

For network control, the switches enable up to 64 VLANS, multicast filtering and trunking. The 4000 series also features two Gigabit ports as copper, fiber optics or SFP port for connection to a higher-level network.

The 3000 and 4000 switches support a range of IEEE standards, and are therefore ideal for use in complex networks. Furthermore, they feature various security functions for safeguarding your network:

The web-based management has a user-friendly design and features various user roles

Configuration and diagnostics for the Ethernet Switches can be performed via web-based management, SNMP or via a serial port. The user-oriented web-based management system of the 3000 and 4000 Managed Switches also enables particularly convenient operation. Configurable web pages and user roles ensure a clear overview.

Versions for use in accordance with IEC 61850 / IEEE 1613

Managed Switches in accordance with IEC 61850-3  

The E-versions of the 3000 and 4000 Managed Switches are suitable for use in accordance with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613

The E-versions 3000E (for the DIN rail) and the 4800E (for 19" cabinets) are particularly suitable for use in energy systems. They satisfy the stringent requirements of the standards IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613. These versions ensure reliable operation around the clock under extreme environmental conditions. This is possible thanks to their particularly high immunity to electromagnetic and electrostatic interference, extended temperature range, and extreme shock and vibration resistance.
