Push-in coupling relays reduce installation time

Phoenix Contact’s newest coupling relays feature push-in technology for fast and easy connections.

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Phoenix Contact’s newest coupling relays feature push-in technology for fast and easy connections. The PLC push-in technology products combine the advantages of push-in technology wth Phoenix Contact’s established PLC relay products.

The push-in technology connection method, introduced in terminal blocks last year, enables fast, easy connection, even for small wires. It reduces insertion forces by up to 50 percent compared with other spring-cage connectors for easy handling and less physical strain.

Actuation requires no special tools. Nearly any tool – even a pen – can release the conductor. The orange actuation push button ensures complete touch-proof termination and prevents any deformation of the spring by the tool.

Like the existing PLC relays, the PLC push-in technology measures just 6.2 mm wide. The relays are compatible with a wide range of accessories, including system cable adapters, feed terminals and plug-in bridges.  In addition to the new push-in technology, PLC relays are also available with traditional screw and spring-cage versions.

When used with Phoenix Contact’s system cabling, the PLC relay system saves even more time and prevents wiring errors.
