Safe PLC extension for PLCnext Control

You can convert your standard PLCnext Control device into a PROFIsafe-capable safety controller easily with our safe extension module.

The left-alignable PROFIsafe extension is a fully functional safety-oriented small-scale SPLC the extends the functional scope of your AXC F 2152 or AXC F 3152 controllers for safety applications up to SIL 3 / PL e.

With a low space requirement, this control solution is particularly well suited for cost-intensive and/or decentral safety applications. The safe PLC extension can communicate both via PROFINET and via the integrated Axiobus with up to 32 subordinate PROFIsafe devices. An integrated F-device instance also allows interconnectivity with a superordinate PROFIsafe PLC.

The high-performance RFC 4072S safety controller is ideal for PROFIsafe applications with particularly high demands on safety or availability. Operate extended networks with up to 300 devices, for example in the automotive industry or in the field of renewable energy technology. 

The RFC 4072S unites standard and safety-relevant calculations up to SIL 3 in a single device.

With PLCnext Engineer, it is possible to perform both standard PLC programming and the programming of all safety functions in the same editor. The PLC and safety programming are then installed on the PLCnext Control device in one project. This extracts and automates the programs in two parts – the PLC code and the safety code.
