UPS selection guide

Here, you can create your ideal UPS solution:

Modular solution

  1. Choose your power supply, e.g., QUINT POWER
  2. Choose your QUINT UPS UPS module
  3. Choose your energy storage:
  • UPS-BAT/LI-ION for long service life with long buffer times
  • UPS-BAT/VRLA and VRLA-WTR for maximum buffer times

UPS with integrated energy storage

Particularly space-saving and easy to retrofit, the UPS module and energy storage are combined in the same housing.

  • QUINT UPS: energy storage with lead AGM technology
  • STEP UPS: energy storage with lithium iron phosphate technology
  • UNO UPS: energy storage with lead AGM technology
  • QUINT BUFFER buffer module: capacitor-based energy storage

UPS with integrated power supply

Combining the UPS module and power supply in the same housing is a space-saving solution. Just one energy storage device is required to complete the UPS system.

  • MINI UPS: for 24 or 12 V DC
  • TRIO UPS: for 24 V DC

Example:

  • QUINT for 24 V DC applications
  • 20 A needs to be buffered for 6 minutes

Refer to the left-hand side of the diagram for the load current and to the top for the buffer time.

The result is shown in light green. Compare your result with the key below. For an application where 20 A is required for 6 minutes, the ideal choice is the QUINT4-UPS/24DC/24DC/20... in combination with the UPS-BAT/LI-ION/24DC/120WH energy storage.

A suitable power supply needs to be connected upstream.

If “1+1” is also returned, you require two energy storage devices with the same capacity.

Example:

  • QUINT for 24 V DC applications
  • 7 A needs to be buffered for one hour

Refer to the left-hand side of the diagram for the load current and to the top for the buffer time.

The result is shown in red. Compare your result with the key below. For an application where 7 A is required for one hour, the ideal choice is the QUINT4-UPS/24DC/24DC/20... in combination with the UPS-BAT/VRLA/24DC/12AH energy storage.

A suitable power supply needs to be connected upstream.

If “1+1” is also returned, you require two energy storage devices with the same capacity.

Buffer times for TRIO AC UPS

1+1: an additional energy storage device of the same capacity (3.4 Ah) of type UPS-BAT/VRLA/24DC/3.4AH (2320306) or QUINT-BAT/24DC/3.4AH (2866349) is required in this case.

Select your UPS solution here.

Example:

  • 2.5 A needs to be buffered for 10 minutes

The result is shown in blue. Compare your result with the key below. For an application where 2.5 A is required for 10 minutes, the ideal choice is the STEP-UPS/24DC/24DC/3/46WH.

Note:

With the MINI-DC-UPS/12DC/4, buffer times are double those of the MINI-DC-UPS/24DC/2. Available energy storage: MINI-BAT/12DC/1.6AH (Order No. 2866572) and MINI-BAT/12DC/2.6AH (Order No. 2866569).
