Build switching devices in a modular and time-saving manner – both for signal and power wiring.
It is impossible to imagine the applications of today without plug-in solutions, whether in control cabinets or in complete systems. The plug-in terminal blocks allow a significant reduction and simplification of the production and commissioning process. With the aid of pre-assembled cable harnesses, this solution provides further potential for efficient automation in control cabinet manufacturing.
The COMBI connection system allows the time-saving and modular configuration of your application. Its distinguishing feature is the standardized plug-in zone. This plug-in zone allows terminal blocks and plugs to be combined to suit the application, regardless of the connection technology.
The COMBI connection system enables the implementation of a Plug-in wiring solution up to a nominal current of 41 A and a nominal voltage of 1000 V. The contact system features an integrated covering spring so that it can withstand extreme vibration levels.
The COMBI system offers the highest levels of protection for users, as both the basic terminal blocks and the plugs are touch-proof. Alongside the safety aspect, this offers great flexibility for configuration work: The feed-in may be routed via the terminal blocks or plugs.
Thanks to the straightforward, custom-coding option, wiring reliability is increased and incorrect connections are avoided. The individual coding elements are inserted at the coding position in the basic terminal block and the coding tap is removed at the corresponding point on the plug.
Latches which are snapped onto the outside of the connector housing are available for fixing the plugs to the basic terminal blocks. Snap-on strain relief and closed cable housings are available if required to relieve the strain on the cables at the connectors. These housings are split in two, making them easy to fit.
A version of the coupling which can be fitted on rails offers a solution for applications with a low installed height. The integrated duo foot allows for mounting on both NS 15 and NS 35 DIN rails.
Panel feed-throughs can be produced efficiently by simply snapping the SSL panel feed-through onto the standard coupling. The panel feed-through is inserted in the cut-out and automatically latches into place.
The COMBI connection system provides you with unlimited flexibility.
From supplying the control cabinet and the power and control components through to the quick installation of distributed system parts. The COMBI connection system always delivers the perfect solution.
There are numerous advantages to this system. Plug-in components inside the control cabinet can be installed and removed quickly and easily. Plug-in ring feeders ensure reliable power supply from one control cabinet to another. Couplings for flying leads are not only suitable for wiring in restricted spaces. They can also be used to easily extend pre-assembled cables.
The flexible and extensive options offered by the standardized plug-in zone of the COMBI system have won over several well-known companies. Rittal has opted for the COMBI system and has integrated the plug-in zone into the RiLine60 device adapter.
Connectors and couplings
The connectors and couplings of the COMBI system are available as pre-assembled versions with up to 15 positions.
Furthermore, you can select versions for self assembly that you can tailor to your individual application. Here, you simply have to plug the modular elements together until you have the desired number of positions.
Three Push-in contacts, for example for internal wiring, and pin contacts for plug-in external wiring. This allows system parts to be replaced quickly in the event of servicing or modular system concepts to be implemented for fast startup.
As a result of the large number of contact points, the terminal blocks are ideally suited for use as compact plug-in marshalling panels. The large-surface marking option and marker carriers of the same shape with end bracket function ensure clear matrix marking.
The PT 2,5-4L four-level terminal blocks allow you to marshal signals in your controllers and system parts using minimal space. Due to the different bridging options within the terminal strip and the marshalling options within the freely configurable 4-pos. plugs, this terminal system allows extremely compact, three-dimensional signal distributors to be constructed.
The CES cable entry system allows you to insert a variety of pre-assembled conductors, cables, and protective hoses into areas with limited space in control cabinets, distributor boxes, or devices in a way which protects them against water and dust.
