Isolated signal circuits
Analog measured variables such as speed, pressure, flow, etc. are recorded by sensors and converted into current or voltage values by measuring transducers. They are transmitted to the controller or the isolator module within a standardized value range. The “1x2 circuit” is typically used for this type of analog transmission method.
Transient coupled-in overvoltages can cause damage both on the field device and centrally. Both of these end points therefore require surge protection.

The surge protective devices for the intrinsically safe area are available in different voltage and circuit versions. TTC-6…-EX is available in both a pluggable and a one-piece design, each with screw connection.

The LINETRAB product family provides surge protection in an overall width of 6.2 mm. This allows you to protect up to four signal wires for digital or analog interfaces, including in intrinsically safe areas. Multi-conductor temperature measurements can also be performed via an optional DIN rail connector. LINETRAB is available with screw connection technology.
SURGETRAB S-PT
The SURGETRAB surge protective devices can be screwed directly onto field devices such as measuring elements. Product versions for parallel and through wiring are available. Various voltage and circuit versions are available with different connecting threads. SURGETRAB is available for Ex areas with Ex i (intrinsic safety) and Ex d (flameproof enclosure) type of protection.
COMTRAB modular
COMTRAB modular surge protection is available for marshalling systems with LSA-PLUS connection technology. Up to 10 protective plugs can fit into the CTM 10-MAG magazine. The plugs are available in different voltage and circuit versions. The protective plugs are tested with the CHECKMASTER 2.
