The mGuard Secure Remote Service provides you with a comprehensive turnkey VPN solution. Your service personnel connect quickly and securely to machines, industrial PCs, and controllers through a simple web interface.
The cloud – based on the mGuard industry standard – uses Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) with the proven IPsec security protocol. This ensures the confidentiality, authenticity, and integrity of all data transmitted between all devices connected via the mGuard Secure Remote Service.
The remote monitoring solution, hosted in Germany, provides cloud computing in compliance with the most stringent European data protection standard (GDPR). This means that you do not need to invest in hardware, and you save on local administration costs. The hosted cloud is always up to the latest standard. Thus, you benefit from regular updates and patch management, low latency times, and a high-availability computer center that operates around the clock. This is a particularly convenient service, especially for small- and medium-sized companies.
Functional components and features of the mGuard Secure Remote Service
The mGuard Secure Remote Service uses IPsec VPNs and ensures the confidentiality, authenticity, and integrity of the data transmitted between devices. Service personnel use an approved VPN client, such as the mGuard Secure VPN Client software or an iPad, and connect their workstations to the mGuard Secure Remote Service. The machines are also equipped with industrial-grade remote maintenance routers or a PLCnext Control device, and establish your VPN connection to the Secure Remote Service as required. The mGuard Secure Remote Service web interface controls the service technician’s access to the machines.
