EduNet InterAction 2016:
Science meets Industry

The event for postgraduates, scientific staff, professors of European universities, and industry representatives.

The event will be postponed to the 1st quarter of 2017.

The event

“Smart Linked Automation – Business Cases and Research” is the subject of this year's EduNet InterAction, which will take place at the Phoenix Contact Training Center in Schieder-Schwalenberg, Germany, from September 7 to 9, 2016. Postgraduates, scientific staff, and professors of European universities are invited to join industry representatives in presenting this topic and discussing future-oriented solutions.

 

  • Talks and exchanges of experiences on the subject of “Smart Linked Automation”
  • Presentation of the results of in-house projects and research
  • Active participation in the discussion
  • Participation in the development of future industrial technologies
  • Networking and making international contacts

EduNet Science Award 2016

For the first time, Phoenix Contact will be presenting the €3000 EduNet Science Award 2016. Postgraduates, scientific staff, and professors are invited to present their current project, project idea or dissertation topic on the subject of “Smart Linked Automation – Business Cases and Research”.

During a short talk lasting no longer than 15 minutes, the initial situation, objectives, content, and expected results of your project should be presented. The deadline for applications to present for the EduNet Science Award 2016 is July 22, 2016.

  • Presentations should reference the main topic of the event, “Smart Linked Automation – Business Cases and Research”, and be assigned to one of the 5 sub-topics:
    • Topic 1: Smart Engineering and Production/Virtual Engineering
    • Topic 2: Asset Administration Shell/Syntax and Semantics/Data Communication
    • Topic 3: Cyber Security
    • Topic 4: Cloud Technology
    • Topic 5: Mass Customization – Lot Size 1 Production
  • Applications to participate should be submitted when registering for the event.
  • Applications must include the title and a short description of the project (max. 1 DIN A4 page, in English) and be sent via e-mail to aguese@phoenixcontact.com
  • Presentation of the project according to topic assignment on the 1st or 2nd day of the event (September 8/9, 2016), 15 minutes per topic.
  • Presentation of the initial situation, objectives, content, and expected results
  • Anonymous public vote and announcement of the chosen project on the 2nd day of the event (September 9, 2016)
