Phoenix Contact is pleased to announce that the 2018 trade fair was a success. At the largest electronica to date, there were over 80,000 visitors throughout the three days of the fair. Three thousand one hundred exhibitors from over 50 countries welcomed them.

Our exceptional innovations at electronica 2018

At electronica 2018, Phoenix Contact will be presenting a variety of different products and solutions. We would like to give you a sneak preview of these before the trade fair begins.

PTFIX is the new system for potential distribution solutions in devices tailored to individual requirements. The system consists of connection-ready blocks with Push-in technology in many different colors, numbers of positions, and mounting types. The blocks, with up to 18 terminal points, can be combined in any way and mounted on DIN rails or directly – they can even be glued onto flat surfaces. The configurator provides you with support in selecting the desired combination. Online pricing and rapid order options are included.

Easy device connection with the panel feed-throughs of the new IPD pluggable installation system with secure and convenient on-site fast locking system. The Push-in connection enables time-saving assembly. Experience easy device connection with the new IPD pluggable installation system. Install conveniently and securely with the on-site fast locking system. Furthermore, the Push-in connection system enables automatic wiring with wiring robots. The IPD panel feed-throughs are therefore ideal for lighting applications.

Signals, data and power are the essential electrical transmission types in an industrial facility. Compact and powerful M12 connectors are ideally suited for this environment. Create marking solutions more easily than ever before with the Phoenix Contact MARKING system. The THERMOMARK ROLLMASTER roll printer is particularly well suited to marking electronic components. It processes large volumes of material rapidly. The new BLUEMARK ID printing system provides maximum flexibility: using environment-friendly UV LED technology, it marks more than 1350 different marking materials – even in color.

Experience High Power Charging (HPC) live at electronica. With this new technology, you can charge your electric vehicle for a range of 100 km in just three to five minutes. This is made possible by an intelligent cooling system, which allows charging stations to reach charging powers of up to 500,000 watts.

At electronica, get a first-hand impression of the excellent design of our new AC charging cables, which recently received the German Design Award 2019. The charging cables won the jury over, thanks to their highly functional design, comfortable feel and state-of-the-art design language.

What is the electronica trade fair?

electronica is the world's leading trade fair for components, systems and applications of electronics. It is held in Munich every other year. Technologies, products, and solutions from the electronics sector right across the board will be presented at the trade fair. This year's electronica showcases current developments in the electronics industry and rounds this off with an insight into trends.

This year, the number of attendees and exhibitors to electronica will once again exceed those of previous years and will, for the first time, be accompanied by the SEMICON Europa event. With more than 450 exhibitors, it is Europe's leading trade fair for industry and research in the areas of flexible hybrid electronics, smart production, power electronics as well as medical engineering.

In addition, the world's leading trade fair in electronics will be accompanied by further regional leading trade fairs in India, Asia, and China, which also focus on the areas of electrical manufacturing as well as applications, systems and components of electronics.
