Our exceptional innovations at the electronica 2018

Phoenix Contact is presenting a variety of different products and solutions at the electronica 2018. We would like to give you a sneak preview of these before the trade fair begins.

PTFIX is the new system for potential distribution solutions in devices tailored to individual requirements. The system consists of connection-ready blocks with Push-in technology in many different colors, numbers of positions, and mounting types. The blocks, with up to 18 terminal points, can be combined in any way and mounted on DIN rails or directly – they can even be glued onto flat surfaces. The configurator provides you with support in selecting the desired combination, including online pricing and a rapid order option.

Easy device connection with the panel feed-throughs of the new IPD pluggable installation system with secure and convenient on-site fast locking system. The Push-in connection enables time-saving assembly. Experience easy device connection with the new IPD pluggable installation system. Install conveniently and securely with the on-site fast locking system. Furthermore, the Push-in connection system enables automatic wiring with wiring robots. The IPD panel feed-throughs are therefore ideal for lighting applications.

Signals, data and power are the essential electrical transmission types in an industrial facility. Compact and powerful M12 connectors are ideally suited for this environment. Established as the industry standard for signal and data applications, they are also increasingly being used for power transmission in devices that are becoming ever more compact. M12 POWER offers maximum performance in a compact design.

With PROJECT complete, you can configure your terminal strip and then easily create the associated markings. The software provides ideal support throughout the process and automates many tasks. Experience the perfect digital networking of all process steps, from CAE configuration through to the assembly of the finished product.

Create marking solutions more easily than ever before with the Phoenix Contact MARKING system. The THERMOMARK ROLLMASTER roll printer is particularly well suited to marking electronic components. It processes large volumes of material very rapidly. The new BLUEMARK ID printing system provides maximum flexibility: using environmentally sound UV LED technology, it marks more than 1,350 different marking materials – even in color.

Powerful, SIL3-certified QUINT POWER power supply – also for the Ex area. The new QUINT DC UPS with integrated interface for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, or USB for your existing network.

A complete range of electronic device circuit breakers for your power supply system. Perfect control of your system statuses with single and multi-channel products.

Experience High Power Charging (HPC) live at the electronica. With this new technology, you can charge your electric vehicle for a range of 100 km in just three to five minutes. This is made possible by an intelligent cooling system, which allows charging stations to reach charging powers of up to 500,000 watts.

Convince yourself at electronica of the excellent design of our new AC charging cables, which recently received the German Design Award 2019. The charging cables convinced the jury with their functionally well solved design, the comfortable feel and the modern design language.

Review of electronica 2016

electronica 2016 drew 74,000 visitors and more than 2,900 exhibitors from 51 countries.

Phoenix Contact is pleased that the 2016 trade fair was such a success. A statement by the president of the Device Connectors division, Torsten Janwlecke:

As the meeting place for the electronics industry, electronica is and remains one of the most important international platforms for Phoenix Contact. At electronica, we encounter many users with specific technical requirements. The ensuing discussions were highly productive for both sides. We were delighted that our intelligent devices and solutions attracted so much interest. It's the combination of performance and technical depth what makes electronica so special for me. This is where promises are not only made, they are also kept.

More interesting observations and statements can be found at the electronica 2018 website.
