When exposed to sunlight, the battery is charged via the solar panel and charge controller. The charge controller is responsible for battery charge management and protects the battery against total discharge.

Connected loads – such as wireless modules – are supplied with the relevant system voltage from the solar system. The battery acts as a power storage device.
