Surge protection for LED applications

The new surge protective devices for LED applications prevent the destruction of sensitive ballasts caused by overload.

They can be installed both in the connection box in pylons, as well as directly in front of the ballast of a lamp. As there is increased insulation, they can be used in LED applications in protection class II equipment. For grounded systems there is a protective device available with PE connection. The state of the protective devices is indicated directly on the device itself. The L connection can be used to transfer the signal to the lamp. If the surge protection disconnect device has been triggered due to overload, then the light is also switched off. This makes servicing and routine inspection of the surge protective devices significantly easier.
