Multipoint multiplexer for process use

Multipoint multiplexer for RS-485 bus systems

Easy I/O mapping in RS-485 bus systems via thumbwheel

Together with the Radioline I/O modules of the wireless system, the new RS-485 bus coupler from Phoenix Contact provides you with a multiplexer system specifically for process use.

Addressing of the front module and easy I/O mapping of the extension modules is carried out quickly and easily, as is usual with the Radioline wireless system, by means of the thumbwheel on the front. This allows distribution of I/O signals in an RS-485 bus system easily, without any programming and software configuration. In addition to operation via a two-wire RS-485 bus line with up to 99 stations, the new RS-485 stations can also expand the Radioline wireless system so that cross-media mapping is possible. Alternatively, it is possible to operate the stations in stand-alone mode at a Modbus/RTU master and therefore directly connected to a controller. For robust use in industrial continuous operation, the I/O extension modules from the Radioline product range are distinguished by electrical channel-to-channel isolation and extended environmental conditions of -40°C to +70°C. In addition, the system offers a comprehensive approval package with ATEX, IECEx, and UL approvals.
