Tolerance-compensating M12 housing screw connection

The new M12 VARIOPORT tolerance-compensating M12 housing screw connection from Phoenix Contact compensates housing and PCB production tolerances up to one millimeter quickly and easily.

When it comes to solutions involving IP67 protection, interaction between PCB components and IP67 housing mechanics is a prerequisite. Despite the tolerances associated with the soldering process, the mechanical ports of the contact inserts on the PCB must match the housing feed-throughs. This is the only way to ensure that the assembled PCB is inserted correctly into the housing. Consequently tools such as mounting templates or exact and therefore expensive CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing are often used in production.
