When only one specific switching state is being transmitted, we refer to this as digital signals or switching contacts. In cases like these, the signals are routed over a common reference potential. Surge voltages can interfere with the transmission of statuses, which in turn results in system errors. The right surge protection protects your signal transmission and ensures that your system keeps running.

Your advantages

  • The world's narrowest surge protection from an overall width of just 3.5 mm
  • Versatile use: designs and connection technology adapted to the application
  • Easy testing, thanks to the pluggable design of surge protective devices
  • Space-saving installation with the narrowest protective devices

TERMITRAB complete pluggable surge protection

Switching states and signal contacts are typical signals that are recorded with the binary inputs on controllers. The controllers also switch actuators such as solenoid valves. Use suitable surge protection to protect the sensitive inputs and outputs on controllers. The individual binary signals are often connected against a common reference potential. Typical arrangements that take into account this common reference potential are provided by so-called 2x1 or 4x1 circuits.
