The charging controller fulfills the key functions required for charging an electric vehicle in accordance with IEC 61851 (communication via CP and PP, charging connector locking and release) and integrates the power supply for the charging connector lock and a power supply failure unlocking module for charging scenario B (with infrastructure socket outlet).

EV Charge Control Basic lets you implement simple charging stations, called wall boxes for home use, without a significant increase in time or expense.

  • A key switch can be used for release
  • No additional activation is required for the contactor acting as the switching element

The universal RCM modules from Phoenix Contact detect DC and AC residual current and therefore offer additional protection during vehicle charging. Optional status monitoring and resetting of the RCM module is possible in conjunction with the charging controllers from Phoenix Contact.
