Ex i signal conditioners pass the chemical industry's quality test

MACX Analog Ex - Ex i signal conditioners

The Ex i signal conditioners provide maximum system safety with minimum space requirements

Our MACX Analog Ex Ex i signal conditioners have passed the type test according to the NAMUR NE 95 specification. The devices thereby fulfill the IGR's requirements, IGR being a joint community from the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

MACX Analog Ex – single- and two-channel signal isolators for intrinsically safe circuits in potentially explosive areas. The product range ensures maximum system safety and explosion protection within minimum space requirements. A design width of just 12.5 mm enables a comprehensive range of functions, which are ATEX and IECEx approved as well as consistently SIL certified.

Proven quality has now been confirmed by tests
The signal conditioners have already been tried and tested across the world in numerous applications. Now, an independent NAMUR testing laboratory has carried out a type test in line with the NE 95 specification for the product range. Alongside the test, this specification includes technical properties and an assessment with regard to explosion protection, maintenance, assembly, and device documentation. The consistently positive test reports certify that the devices feature the following properties, among others:

  • Sound technical data, such as accuracy and the impact of ambient temperature
  • Good electromagnetic compatibility in line with NAMUR NE 21
  • Full compatibility with Ex i field devices
  • Comprehensible and clearly arranged documentation as well as good space utilization, thanks to a narrow design

IGR – knowledge management for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry
The Community of Interests for Industrial Practices (or IGR) currently has 31 member companies, from AkzoNobel to Weylchemie. The community formulates and represents users' interests. Among other things, as a knowledge management platform, it promotes the exchange of experiences and information on the overall system life cycle. Furthermore, the IGR community provides services such as monitoring relevant rules and ensuring quality standards.
