The aim of the project for the University of Applied Sciences in Lemgo was to automate blinds and lighting using an energy-optimized and extremely user-friendly solution.
Twelve controllers were installed, with four on each floor. All controllers communicate with one another. In addition, a weather station was integrated for time and brightness control. The blinds are positioned according to the collective evaluation of these values. In the event of a storm, for example, all blinds are triggered in order to protect them from mechanical damage.
Every member of staff can adjust the lighting conditions to their requirements from their workstation via a web browser.
The University of Applied Sciences chose Phoenix Contact because the modular compact controllers can be controlled individually.
Phoenix Contact implemented a distributed and user-friendly concept.
