INTERBUS-RT bus terminal module with remote bus branch
The new INTERBUS RT bus terminal module with remote bus branch makes it possible for users to set up inexpensive tree structures thanks to its T-coupler function. In conjunction with the Generation 4 controller boards, it is possible to define up to 16 levels. This structure enables users to optimize their cabling routes to an even greater extent. Configuring a system with these INTERBUS modules not only produces benefits when it comes to cable routing, but also with regard to the functional requirements of the application. For example, individual bus segments can be disabled or enabled, or branch lines can be implemented for flexible cable conduit applications. The INTERBUS module consequently makes a significant contribution to increasing flexibility and simplifying conversion and maintenance work – by starting up individual parts of a system. This makes it easy to expand and modify systems. These easy-to-use diagnostic capabilities significantly simplify startup and any troubleshooting in the control cabinet. The IBS RT 24 BK RB-T module is also equipped with a reconfiguration input and an alarm output. The small format means the bus terminal module can be installed directly in extremely small on-site terminal boxes. The device is used wherever a remote bus branch is to be established and no additional inputs/outputs are required. The INTERBUS IBS OPTO SUB and OPTOSUB-PLUS connectors are available for converting the data signals from copper cables to fiber optics.
