High-performance safe coupling relay with an overall width of just 6 mm

Highly compact PSRmini safety relays

Thanks to its overall width of just 6 mm, PSRmini offers space savings of up to 70% without compromising performance

The new PSRmini safety modules from Phoenix Contact are the narrowest safety relays in the world, but deliver the performance of a larger safety relay.

In an overall width of just 6 mm, they offer a high level of safety thanks to the use of force-guided contacts. For users, these slim modules mean a space saving of up to 70 percent. Thanks to the extensive test and approval package, the modules can even be used in applications and environments with more stringent requirements than the standard. Examples include G3 conformity according to ISA S71.04-1985 for use in particularly corrosive atmospheres and the IECEx certification, which facilitates the distributed development of an application up to Ex zone 2. The repeat tests prescribed by standards in a process technology system can easily be carried out visually, i.e., directly on the device. This eliminates the need for time-consuming manual measurements, which are currently often required for the use of standard relays that are not forcibly guided according to EN 50205. In the case of common safe control systems, in the event of an error the monitoring of the coupling module control can be influenced in such a way that the repeat test, called the proof test, can be carried out almost completely automatically. This increases efficiency as it enables downtimes to be reduced without incurring additional expenses for hardware or installation.
