Application

Fire protection plays an important role in the railway industry. There is hardly any other industry which places this sort of high demands on parts and components – including the marking and labeling materials used. Clear marking, in line with requirements, starts with rail vehicle manufacturing. This is the only way in which maintenance work can be reliably and quickly carried out at a later date.

Solution

Conventional marking solutions only have limited use. This is why manufacturers prefer halogen-free materials. We offer you a comprehensive product range of halogen-free materials that have optimum fire protection properties. For designation, we provide you with terminal blocks, conductors, and cables, as well as devices and system marking.

Type WMS shrink sleeves are halogen free and designed for fields of application ranging between -55°C to +135°C.

The cable markers from the KMK HP product range label and bundle conductors and cables simultaneously. The processed polycarbonate corresponds to railway industry requirements.

The cable markers are certified according to DIN EN 45545-2, NF F 16-101/16-102, DIN 5510-2, and DIN EN 50155. They correspond to fire protection class UL 94 V0 and are designed for a temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.

The KMK HP cable markers can be extended with WT-HP HF cable binders and UCT-EMP insert plates in UniCard format.

The raw material in our marking products is polyamide 6.6 in UniCard format. They therefore attain the I=3/F=2 classification according to NF F 16-101/16-102.

The materials are suitable for printing in the BLUEMARK CLED high-speed printer.

The CLIP PROJECT marking software consists of two parts:

  • CLIP PROJECT Planning for quick and convenient planning and configuration of error-free terminal strips.
  • CLIP PROJECT Marking creates individual markings for nearly every application.

From planning, to documentation, through to the finished terminal strip with optimum marking – CLIP PROJECT offers all this. Interfaces for commonly used CAE systems – such as Eplan and Ruplan – extend the software solution.

The required marking data are then read out from the construction data in a user friendly, automated manner, and are imported into the software. In connection with this, users can then print the markings themselves or order them via the Phoenix Contact marking service.
