The xplore New Automation Award is an international technology and training competition from Phoenix Contact directed at technology enthusiasts of all ages and education levels. Teams of school children, students, vocational trainees, and young workers take a creative approach to automation technology and develop innovative solutions on various different topics.

Winner in each category

With the xplore New Automation Award, we support teams worldwide with products to the value of €3000 respectively for individual projects and €4000 respectively for partnership projects.

  • The competition features five categories: smart factory, environment, urban infrastructure, recreation, infinity.
  • A winner is honored in each category.
  • The best teams in each category visit Bad Pyrmont to present their project.

An independent jury made up of representatives from industry, universities, and the media presents the winners with their prizes.

The winners of the xplore New Automation Award present their project at the Hannover Messe - the largest industrial trade fair in the world.

The chairman is Roland Bent, Executive Vice President for Marketing and Development at Phoenix Contact. The patron is the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
