Product Description

INTERBUS Generation 4 coprocessor card
The IBS ISA SC/486DX/I-T provides the INTERBUS with a powerful PC controller board for high-level language programming of operator PCs in machines and plants. The control and automation programs run on the coprocessor of the IBS ISA SC/486DX/I-T. The PC system is thus free for the visualization of the process signals and parameters connected via INTERBUS.
The globally available PC/104 standard is used as a pluggable embedded PC board for the coprocessor of the IBS ISA SC/486DX/I-T. The control program is programmed with standard compilers such as Borland C or Microsoft C. The programs are developed and tested on the host PC and subsequently downloaded onto the coprocessor board.
There are 8 Mbyte IDE flash available as a local drive for the DOS operating system and the application. For runtime, the application can use the 640 kByte of the DOS operating system. The user-friendly high-level language interface (HLI) can be used for programming the application.
The power is normally supplied via the host PC. An external 5 V connection is available for a power supply independent of the host PC. A failure of the power supply to the host PC has no effect on the operation of the IBS ISA SC/486DX/I-T, the connected INTERBUS or the control program running on the coprocessor.
A built-in power supply unit for the PC ISA slot (24 V IN / 5 V OUT) IBS PC EXT PS/24DC/FIL can also be purchased as an accessory.
