FLT-SEC PLUS for use in all Lightning Protection Levels

FLASHTRAB SEC PLUS are type 1 lightning arresters with spark gaps without line follow current. The most powerful versions in this product range are for 440/690 V AC networks, making them ideal for use in wind turbine generators or industrial plants. A complete range of type 1 lightning arresters for 5-, 4-, and 3-conductor systems is also available for 230/400 V AC networks.

  • For buildings with external lightning protection or supply via an overhead line, even directly upstream of the meter, the installation location is the main or industrial distribution.
  • The devices can be used internationally, thanks to their high rated voltage.
  • The high short-circuit capacity as well as the spark gaps without line follow current enable use in low-voltage systems with high short-circuit currents.
  • Thanks to its high discharge capacity, FLASHTRAB SEC PLUS meets the requirements for use in all Lightning Protection Levels.
  • It can be used without backup fuse up to a main fuse nominal current of 315 A.

FLASHTRAB SEC PLUS has a symmetrical design. The base elements and plugs can be rotated 180°.

What this means for you:

  • Installation is extremely easy.
  • The connections are always on the correct side, regardless of whether the supply lines are led from above or below.
  • Cable lengths are kept to a minimum.
  • The large marking area is always legible.

The two terminal points per channel enable V-shaped through wiring.

A major advantage of FLASHTRAB SEC PLUS: all arresters are consistently pluggable, including the N-PE spark gap.

  • To perform insulation measurements, simply remove the plugs. There is no need for complicated disconnection and connection.
  • In the event of the unexpected overload of individual protective plugs, e.g., due to extremely powerful lightning strikes, you can replace the affected plugs quickly and inexpensively.
  • Recurring tests for surge protective devices can be performed quickly and easily using the CHECKMASTER 2 test device.

The operating state of all modes of protection of FLASHTRAB SEC PLUS is monitored.

In the event of an error, the L-N plugs are thermally disconnected. Clear signaling takes place directly on the module, without using any power.

A floating PDT contact is also monitored at the same time. Easy-maintenance remote signaling can therefore be implemented.

What this means for you is that the arresters indicate their state at the location that suits you best.
