DC/DC converters provide a regulated DC voltage. They alter the voltage level, regenerate voltages at the end of long cables or enable the creation of independent supply systems by means of electrical isolation.

Your advantages

  • High level of flexibility, thanks to large input voltage range
  • Extremely robust: protective coating with QUINT...CO for extreme environments, such as 100% humidity, with EX and IEC Ex approvals
  • Preventive function monitoring: QUINT POWER warns against critical operating states before errors occur
  • Maximum safety: QUINT POWER trips circuit breakers reliably
  • Direct field installation: no need to supply an AC connection in the case of UNO DC/DC converters

QUINT POWER – DC/DC converters featuring leading technologies

DC/DC converter with SFB technology

SFB technology enables systems to be switched-off cost-effectively and selectively

DC/DC converters from the QUINT family convert nominal input voltages from 12 V DC, 24 V DC or 48 V DC to output voltages of 5 to 56 V DC. The use of leading technologies increases safety and reliability:

  • Preventive function monitoring warns against critical operating states before errors occur.
  • The static power reserve enables difficult loads to be started reliably with up to 1.25 times the nominal current (POWER BOOST).
  • Fast tripping of standard circuit breakers with up to six times the nominal current for 12 ms (SFB technology).

The protective coating on these DC/DC converters protects against dust, corrosive gases, and 100% humidity as well as failure caused by corrosion-related creepage currents and electrochemical migration.

The QUINT DC/DC converters have a large input voltage range: all standard input and output voltages in the performance classes up to 480 W are viable. The devices are ideally suited for all industries, in particular for devices with process industry approvals.

QUINT POWER – high degree of flexibility

The QUINT family wide-range devices enable input voltages of 42 to 96 V DC or 67 to 154 V DC. The high flexibility of these input voltage ranges is particularly called for in the rail industry and power generation.

UNO DC/DC converters for photovoltaic applications

Direct supply from photovoltaic modules

UNO DC/DC converters for direct supply of Combiner Box from photovoltaic panel

The DC/DC converters from the UNO POWER range enable direct connection to string voltages of up to 1000 V DC. This means the Combiner Box is supplied directly from the photovoltaic panel and additional installation costs are not incurred. In another expansion stage, the signal line can be replaced by a wireless connection.

Converting voltages with MINI POWER

MINI POWER for voltages from 10 up to 75 V DC

The voltage levels of MINI DC/DC converters

The DC/DC converters in the MINI POWER range are suitable for low power ratings. They are available for voltages from 10 to 75 V DC. They supply currents between 0.7 and 2 A. An LED and an active switching output monitor the output voltage.
The connection technology is particularly easy to maintain, thanks to the coded COMBICON connectors. MINI DC/DC converters are particularly suited to measurement and control technology.
