AC connection system for small systems

The new AC connection system for micro inverters is a pre-assembled cable system which consists of two function modules and is implemented in the form of a Y-distributor.

Function module 1 is the trunk line, which collects and transmits the currents from the individual micro inverters of the photovoltaic system.

Function module 2 is the connecting cable of the relevant micro inverter (the drop line), which transfers the generated current from each individual inverter to the trunk line.

AC Y-connectors for micro inverters

The AC Y-connectors consist of two 3-pos. connections, connector and socket, which are connected together via the trunk line without the risk of polarity reversal. In addition to accommodating the trunk line, the socket side also accommodates the drop line, which serves as the connection to the inverter.

  • Voltages up to 600 V
  • Maximum nominal currents of 20 A (trunk) and 5 A (drop)
  • Use of micro inverters with 500 W output power possible
  • IP67 protection class

Mains connector for AC Y-connectors

The mains connectors are the link between the PV system and mains. Depending on the system structure, the mains can be connected via the connector or socket side of the AC Y-connector. The free cable end is either connected in a distributor box or fed into the service panel via a cable sleeve.

Dust protection caps

The dust protection caps protect the mating face from contamination during transport. When it comes to installation, they can be easily removed from the connector without any tools. During installation, the protective caps are inserted as an end cap on the last connector in order to protect the connector from atmospheric influences.

Unlocking tool

The locking mechanism on the connectors is extremely robust and prevents unintentional release. The lock can be opened quickly and easily using the unlocking tool. Thanks to an additional latch, the unlocking tool does not fall out of the connector housing once it has been released.
