The 2000 and 2100 versions offer clear configuration and monitoring options for applications where Unmanaged Switches were primarily used in the past.

In addition to the extended scope of functions, the 2200 and 2300 series versions offer communication via fiberglass, as well as approvals for the maritime sector and the process industry.

The Managed Switches from the 3000 and 4000 series additionally offer various IT and security functions for complex and secure infrastructure networks.

Our most powerful switch is the Modular Managed Switch. As a Gigabit switch with optional Layer 3 function, it is particularly suitable for use as an automation backbone and for connection to the higher-level company network.

2200/2300 switch: flexible configuration of robust automation networks

2200/2300 switch with approvals for the maritime sector and process technology

The 2200 and 2300 versions of the Managed Switches from the 2000 series offer the ideal scope of functions, variety of versions, and approvals for universal automation applications. Even in harsh conditions, such as those in maritime environments or process technology, networks can be implemented with cable lengths up to 80 kilometers. Maximum flexibility is also offered by versions with various fiberglass connection methods. As LLDP and advanced multicast filter functions are supported, they can also be used in PROFINET and EtherNet/IP™ without any problems.

3000/4000 switch: for increased network security and flexibility

3000/4000 Managed Switch in infrastructure applications

For demanding applications, the Managed Switches from the 3000 and 4000 series combine comprehensive diagnostic, performance, and security functions, together with redundancy switching times of just 15 ms and user-friendly application features. The switches support a range of IEEE standards, which makes them ideal for use in complex networks. The Managed Switches from the 3000 series offer a comprehensive portfolio with 10/100 Mbps connections. The 4000 series additionally offers two Gigabit ports for connection to a higher-level network.

The 3000E (for the DIN rail) and the 4800E (for 19" cabinets) E-versions are particularly suitable for use in energy systems and satisfy the stringent requirements of standards IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613. They provide round-the-clock reliable operation under extreme environmental conditions thanks to their particularly high immunity to electromagnetic and electrostatic interference, the extended temperature range, and extreme shock and vibration resistance.

The Managed Switch with a modular design from Phoenix Contact forms the backbone of your automation application. The wide range of capacities make it the ideal solution in every way for Ethernet communication at the highest level. Thanks to their modular design, Gigabit Modular Switches meet the demands of industrial applications with regard to ports. In addition, they support numerous protocols and standards: IT standard protocols, all popular Gigabit and Fast Ethernet standards and the PROFINET and EtherNet/IP™ automation protocols. By inserting an SD memory card with a Layer 3 license, you can integrate additional routing functions into the modular Gigabit switch. This means that you can implement port-specific routing up to 28 times or operate multiple routers redundantly.
