Servo controllers for synchronous/asynchronous motors (2.2 kW); type: Multi; with extended scope of functions, optionally expandable with Interbus/Sercos

The Multi servo controller range exceeds the A Servo types with the dynamic response and the accuracy because it works internally with shorter cycle times. In addition to synchronous motors, the devices of the Multi range also support asynchronous motors and allow incremental encoder, sin/cos encoder, absolute encoder, hyperface, and EnDat in addition to the resolver as feedback. The performance range of the Multi servo controllers extends from 0.75 kW to over 15 kW.

The servo controllers of the Multi type can be extended using an operating interface with an Interbus or Sercos interface.


Due to their high overload capacity of up to 400%, synchronous servo motors are the ideal drives for dynamic applications with low mass inertia and high angular momentum. At the same time, the synchronism between rotary field and rotor provides the solution from synchronization and positioning applications with high precision.
