Product Description

Coupling module IBS-PB CT 24 IO GT-LK-OPC of the CT-Gateway product family links the fieldbus systems PROFIBUS and INTERBUS at the I/O level. In its function, it corresponds to two normal I/O modules, the inputs and outputs of which are connected crosswise. Up to 10 words of user data can be exchanged directly and without detours bidirectionally via the controller. The data width can be configured between one byte and ten words by means of a rotary switch. The module is installed directly in both remote buses. The bus is connected to PROFIBUS via a 9-pos. D-SUB connector. The connection to INTERBUS is based on fiber optic technology and is implemented via F-SMA connectors. The module works with optical path regulation, which automatically readjusts the emissivity of the FO diodes in the case of ageing or slight damage, thus guaranteeing smooth operation. The gateway is equipped with floating bus lines as well as a redundant supply of the 24 V supply. A total of 32 status LEDs (16 for each bus line) are used to display the signal states of the output word or byte selected via a key and represented on a 7-segment display. In this case, the output information for one bus is the input information of the other. Diagnostics LEDs and configurable fault messages (I/O error message or static diagnostics) support the user and ensure reliable operation.
