Product Description

INTERBUS-ST ASI link module
These I/O modules make it possible to connect 31 ASI slaves to INTERBUS. The IB ST ASI DIO modules connect INTERBUS with lower-level ASI buses. It becomes possible to combine the advantages of INTERBUS, such as:
- System expansion
- Speed
- Coverage
with the advantages of the ASI bus:
- Direct connection of digital sensors/actuators
- Power supply via the bus
Using ASI, 124 digital distributed I/Os can be transmitted to 31 devices.
The power supply of the sensors and actuators is provided via the bus cable. Power comes from an external ASI power supply. Sensors and actuators can be distributed in several branches. Each branch can carry a maximum 2 A load.
ASI branches can be up to 100 m long. The configuration of the ASI branch is done on-site by means of keyboard input directly to the device, or by means of parameterization via the computer.
The modules have a 2-digit, 7-segment display to display the status and diagnostics results.
The IB ST ASI DIO modules are easy to service and maintain, like all the modules in the ST series:
- Replaceable electronics modules
- Extensive diagnostics displays for INTERBUS and ASI
- Connection to protective earth ground via the DIN rail
- All terminals can be labeled with Zack strips
