The PC-based IBS ISA S5-945 PC40/T controller from Phoenix Contact integrates proven standards and innovative technologies: INTERBUS, PC technology and command compatibility in acc. with the STEP 5 programming language.
The IBS ISA S5-945 PC40/T is ideal for use in applications for which there is already a control system and an operating or visualization PC. The integrated and open interfaces provide the user with ideal conditions for implementing the automation function without having to use additional interface cards. Integration of the I/Os and field devices via INTERBUS and an integrated DDE and DLL interface for rapid access from the Windows PC to data areas of the PLC is thus guaranteed.
The IBS ISA S5-945 PC40/T offers overall cost advantages as compared to discrete solutions. By making use of existing system and programming knowledge, integration in complex systems is made easier and the startup times for the implementation of new automation concepts is cut. Programming can be performed either with the original Siemens programming device or with compatible programming systems. With the IBS ISA S5-945 PC40/T, the user will gain greater acceptance for PC-based control solutions from the end customer.
